Audio Engineering
Are you a "take charge" individual with the desire, drive, and
determination to be a top audio for video post engineer, producer,
acoustic consultant, or studio manager? Do your career goals involve
turning a producer's ideas into high-quality recordings? Welcome to
NESCom! Your program includes a solid academic background through
courses in Audio Recording and Technology, the History of American
Music, Music Theory, and Pro Tools . Hours spent in a control room or
the recording studio or out in the field every week will develop your
skills and complement your classroom experience.
NESCom® also launched
its own recording label—NESCOM® RECORDS—in 2007 designed as a showcase
for student productions. Students enrolled in Business of Music learn
first hand about the marketing, business practices, and distribution
procedures within the industry. Well-known industry representatives
frequently come to campus to share their experiences and offer advice
to audio engineering concentrators. At graduation, you'll have the
technical skills necessary for a successful career in audio as well as
a great portfolio including a full-length CD produced and engineered by
you! |
