Live Sound Technology

Are you excited by the prospect of mixing the sound for theatrical productions, sporting events, concerts, or recording sessions? Creating live sound requires technical and artistic skills and NESCom® will give you the training and experience necessary for a rewarding career in this growing field. Your program starts with classroom and lab work in Audio Recording and Technology and Multi-track Recording and Technology, plus courses in Stage Wiring and Electronic Troubleshooting and Digital Audio for Live Sound.

You’ll also get plenty of lab time and plenty of opportunities to work behind the scenes. Your second home on campus will be the brand new Gracie Theatre, which is scheduled to open next fall. As part of their training, Live Sound Engineering students will handle the sound for all of the productions in this beautiful venue. Your knowledge and your confidence will grow as you successfully complete a variety of technical projects in a professional environment. NESCom® and you—the perfect partnership for a career in live sound engineering!
