Radio Broadcasting A career in radio broadcasting offers unique opportunities for
self-expression. Are you interested in being a talk show host, an
on-air announcer, or a voice-over artist? NESComĀ® will put you on the
right road to a successful career. Your training begins with courses in
News Reporting, Radio Performance, Broadcast Programming and
Management, and Station Operations.
The cornerstone of NESCom's radio program is WHSN 89.3FM
where starting as early as their first semester, students training for
a career in radio broadcasting are working in a professional, real life
broadcast facility.
Broadcasting 24 hours a day, WHSN is not only a
working lab for students; it is also Bangor's only alternative rock
radio station. Although WHSN is a non commercial, educational radio
station, day today operations mirror that of any commercial radio
station training students to work in any radio format. |
