Transfer Students

Transfer students are welcome to apply. The application procedure for new students must be followed. In addition to the required high school transcript or GED score, an official academic transcript from the institution they are leaving or have left is required. A catalog containing course descriptions is also recommended. In addition, course syllabi may be requested for further documentation.

The New England School of Communications® may accept transfer credits from another accredited institution from a degree seeking candidate for subjects or courses completed in other accredited post-secondary institutions with the following conditions:

  • The course is comparable in scope, content, and coursework completed and applicable to the degree program entering at NESCom.
  • The course must be consistent in credit hours earned.
  • The course must have been completed with a minimum grade of "C" or better.
  • A minimum of 25% of a students requirements must be completed at NESCom.
  • Military courses are considered with the submission of form DD295.

Because of the relationship between institutions, NESCom® students are eligible to take approved general education courses offered by Husson College.

Acceptance of transfer credits is at the sole discretion of the Dean of Education and Registrar. At times it is necessary to discuss transfer credits with instructors of particular courses. Responsibility of courses taken and credits accumulated lies with the student.
