Wildey Communications Center

The Wildey Communications Center, centerpiece of the New England School of Communications® experience, is the "digital environment" necessary to succeed in today's high-tech world.

Built in 2001, the WCC has up-to-date media facilities for scheduled use by students. Three classrooms, plus a digital-media room, television studio, audio engineering studio, control rooms, video editing production suites, newsroom, media/library and seminar room are some of the facilities that are in use. In addition, students operate WHSN-FM a campus radio facility and on-campus cable Channel 5 with studios in the Communication Center.

Equipment for digital imaging, digital editing, electronic publishing, web publishing, digital photography, television and audio production, VCR's, DVD's, cameras and monitors are all available to qualified students throughout the school year. Other audio-visual equipment for classroom use is also on hand.

Other Facilities

Athletic and Recreational Facilities
The Newman Athletic Complex houses a wide variety of athletic facilities, including basketball court; and Olympic size swimming pool, weight lifting and mat rooms. The Swan Health and Fitness Center is complete with weight machines, treadmills, stationary bicycles, and rowing machines. In addition, the campus also provides the Winkin Baseball Complex, softball field, soccer and football fields, and tennis courts.

Bookstore
The Mary McDonald Bookstore is located on the lower level of Peabody Hall. Textbooks for most courses can be purchased there, along with other school supplies, reference books, greeting cards, snacks and clothing.

Dining Facilities

Students dine in Dickerman Dining Commons, a centrally located modern facility serving a wide variety of wholesome, nutritious foods to meet the needs and tastes of a diversified community.
Cressy's Marketplace:

This snack bar, located in the lower level of Peabody Hall, is designed to serve commuting students, residents and staff. Service includes beverages, snacks to full meals with daily specials always available.

Willey's Cafe:
Located adjacent to Cressy's Marketplace and the Furman Student Center, Willey's offers Starbucks coffee, grilled Paninin sandwiches and tasty pastries.

Sawyer Library
Location: Peabody Hall, 2nd Floor
Husson University shares its library with NESCom® enabling students to meet educational needs through the resources available. The library provides a variety of books, journals and periodicals for educational as well as recreational reading and personal growth.

Mail Room
A full-service mail room/postal station, is located on the first floor of Peabody Hall. All resident students are assigned a locked mailbox.

All NESCom® students are also provided an assigned mailbox (for non-confidential communication) in the mailroom on the first floor of the Wildey Communication Center.

Resident Halls
One of the most wonderful aspects of the college experience can be residential living. The three co-educational residence halls (with men and women on alternating floors) provide a variety of living options. Each furnished, comfortable room houses two students and is equipped with cable TV outlet, wireless internet and email access and a personal phone line with voice messaging.
