VIDEO PRODUCTION

Justin Beach (06)
Videographer, KJCT-TV, Grand Junction, CO
Justin is a news “shooter” who captures the video for this ABC affiliated television station. His first experience was as an intern at a Bangor television station which hired him part time upon completion of the internship. He has been at KJCT since very shortly after graduating from NESCom.

Kevin Matluk (08)
Editor/producer at Powerhouse Promotions, Hot springs, AR
Hired just before accepting his degree, Kevin is the lead person for two cable television program produced by Powerhouse. It was his NESCom training coupled with some part time professional employment at Bangor television stations that helped him land the job.

AUDIO ENGINEERING

David Potter (06)
Operations Manager, Elite Audio Visual Solutions, Las Vegas, NV
David was hired in April 2007 as an Audio/Visual technician with responsibility for handling equipment and set up for meetings, conferences and other functions. He was promoted to a supervisor’s position in October 2007 and, in the summer of 2008, was promoted to the Operations Manager position.

Stephanie DuFresne (05)
Engineer, Ocean Way Studio, Nashville, TN
Stephanie joined Allaire Studios in Shokan, NY shortly after her graduation. She served as both a recording engineer and studio equipment technician for just over two years before making the move to Nashville where she continues to handle studio recording.

RADIO BROADCASTING

Chad Leighton (06)
Evening DJ, WYZO, Kalamazoo, MI
Chad began his professional radio career as an intern at a Clear Channel radio station. While still a student, he secured part time radio work in Bangor and, after graduating, in Augusta and then Portland, Maine. He joined country-format WYZO in 2008.

Jolene Ledger (07)
Air Talent and administrative assistant, Citadel Broadcasting, Presque Isle, ME
Following graduation, Jolene joined WHOU in Houlton where she was given a supervisory position. One year later she joined this major group owner in a position that allows her to use her announcing, news and management experience.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Jillian Whitney (08)
PR Associate, Sutherland Weston Marketing Communications, Bangor, ME
Hired even before her graduation day, Jillian wears many hats at Sutherland Weston. She writes press releases, works on marketing campaigns and even participates in video shoots.

Steve Williams (08)
New Media Sales, Bangor Daily News, Bangor, ME
The first person employed when the paper added a new media sales division, Steve handles virtually all of the Bangor Daily’s on-line advertising.

Angelo Simeoni (05)
UI Developer, thoughbot.com, Boston, MA
With an expertise in interface design, Angelo crafts “unusually shiny apparatus for people to poke, prod, and creatively exploit.”

Elizabeth Faulkingham (07)
Producer, WLBZ-TV, Bangor, ME
Beth jumped into this mid-management position right after graduation. She is responsible for producing the 6 and 11pm newscasts on the NBC affiliated station owned by the nationally-prominent Gannett Corporation.

Aaron Jackson (08)
Reporter, WVII-TV, Bangor, ME
Using his journalism and video training, Aaron joined this ABC affiliate shortly before receiving his degree. He covers general interest topics and sports.
