with permission from Warner Bros.
| A preview screening of the finished film will be May 4th, 2014 at 5PM at the Gracie Theatre on the campus of Husson University. A special behind-the-scenes feature will follow the film.
In 2011-2012 the students of NESCom completed an adaption of Stephen King’s “The Last Rung on the Ladder”, which went on to win “Best Film in Maine” at the Lewiston Auburn Film Festival. For 2013/2014 we were graciously given permission from Warner Bros. to adapt a short story by J.K. Rowling that falls in the world of Harry Potter.
The Story, “The Tale of Three Brothers” was featured in the 7th and final Potter novel (The Deathly Hallows), and was later released in a series of short stories titled, “The Tales of Beedle the Bard”. NESCom's short-film adaptation was filmed in various Maine locations during the fall 2013 semester with post production and editing in the spring of 2014.
